Containerized Edge Data Centers

A second product line alongside the 5MW/20MW campus platform: factory-built, 20ft/40ft containerized modules for sites that need faster deployment or a smaller footprint than a campus build — government and defence installations, telecom/5G edge nodes, smart-city aggregation points, disaster-recovery sites, and branch/enterprise edge compute.

20ft / 60kW — Instant Edge Deployment

Our fastest-to-site configuration: factory-assembled, tested, and delivered ready to connect. Built for use cases where speed and a small footprint matter more than scale — industrial plant floors, banking branch and back-office sites, and defence or border installations that need secure, self-contained compute with no dependency on nearby colocation capacity.

Design specification

Form factor

20ft or 40ft ISO-standard container, factory-assembled and tested before delivery: assembly → subsystem testing → Factory Acceptance Testing → transport → on-site commissioning.

Capacity range

From a ~30kW compact edge node up to ~500kW AI-optimized, GPU-dense configurations — the 20ft/60kW class is the representative baseline (6 × 42U smart racks at 10kW each).

Power architecture

Grid input → transformer → LT panel → automatic transfer switch → online double-conversion UPS, with an LFP battery bank permanently in the power path for zero transfer time; optional DG input for extended outages.

Backup runtime

Hours-scale autonomous battery backup — not minutes-scale — sized to bridge grid outages and DG start-up delay without requiring immediate generator response.

Cooling

Precision in-row DX cooling in an N+1 configuration, hot-aisle/cold-aisle containment, and humidity control — no evaporative or water-based heat rejection, consistent with NICPL's zero water-wastage cooling design.

Monitoring

Unified DCIM + EMS platform — rack power/temperature/utilization, UPS/battery health, cooling and fire status, energy consumption, and PUE — on a remote mobile/cloud dashboard across multiple sites.

Fire & security

Smoke/heat detection with clean-agent suppression, CCTV, biometric/card access control, per-rack electronic locks with audit trail, and water-leak detection.

Deployment model

Standardized first-unit engineering, then a repeatable build once the design baseline is frozen — the same "standardize, then move fast" philosophy as the 5MW modular block.

From factory to live site

Every unit follows the same five-stage process before it's considered ready to connect — nothing structural or electrical is field-assembled:

1. Assembly

The container is factory-built to the frozen reference design — power, cooling, IT racks, monitoring, fire, and security all integrated in the factory, not on site.

2. Subsystem testing

Each subsystem — power path, cooling loop, monitoring stack, fire and access control — is tested independently before integration testing begins.

3. Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)

The fully assembled unit is witnessed-tested as a whole: power, cooling, monitoring, fire, and security all verified to perform to spec before it ever leaves the factory.

4. Transport

The unit ships as a completed, tested product in its ISO container form factor — nothing structural or electrical is field-assembled.

5. On-site commissioning

Final connection to site power, network, and grounding, followed by on-site verification — from delivery to live in weeks, not months.
